Relined, and stretcher bar replaced [date unknown], which suggests that the painting may have been mounted on board upon Kent’s return from Alaska.

For similar works see “Resurrection Bay” (AK1-30 and “Snow Ranges, Alaska” (AK1-32). “Frozen Lake” (AK1-18) is also similar, but the perspective is from the lake, –east of Northwest Harbor, behind the strip of land on which Kent’s cabin sat–looking west.
